As the minivan that Nissan says “gets” parenting better than any of its rivals, the Nissan Quest fortunately also only gets a mild price bump in some models for the 2012 model year. Starting at the same $28,560, including $810 for destination and handling, as the last-year model, the base Quest S comes with the same 3.5-liter V-6 engine as the rest of the lineup that belts out a healthy 260 horsepower.
Next up, the SV works $150 up the ladder to settle at $31,860 for the new model year. It adds a rearview monitor, Bluetooth connectivity, a three-zone climate control system, and a list of other features versus its lesser sibling.
The leather-lined Quest SL takes the next-higher position in the Quest hierarchy with a starting price that is also $150 dearer than its 2011 forebear at $35,350. Additional kit includes auto on-off headlights and 18-inch wheels versus the standard model’s 16-inchers, and Nissan’s HomeLink universal garage door opener.
And finally, the top-level Quest LE maintains its price point from last year at $42,160. It includes a hard drive-based navigation system, blind spot detection warning, a power-folding third row, sunshades for the rear windows, and high-intensity xenon headlights among its many additional features.
Changes to the 2012 Quest are minor, with the SV and SL models receiving XM satellite radio service as standard this year. The only other new feature is a color, super black.
The 2012 Nissan Quest is already on sale at dealerships nationwide.
